Babinda P-12 State School's Parents and Citizen's Association operates the Outside School Hours Care facility.
What is provided?
The P&C Association's Outside School Hours Care will provide a creative, engaging, fun, safe and a secure environment for the care of your children (Prep to Year 6). They will do this through a structured and well-balanced program in Before and After School Care services. They achieve this by thinking ahead, anticipating what children might like to do to keep them safe and happy.
The OSHC program provides planned activities, homework support and supervised free play.
Daily Program
Our programming is
designed so that all children are included, we offer a variety of
activities that suit the children's needs through both indoor and outdoor
play. Our practices are formed around our service philosophy (My Time, My
place-Early Years Learning Framework), we refer to this on a daily basis
and they are embedded in our practices via conversations between educators
and children. Our service is organised to encourage participation by using
self-selection of resources and activities, which gives children freedom
of choice and flexibility within the program; we also offer set activities
planned within our weekly changing program, this is free of choice to
participate.
Breakfast and afternoon tea are provided in their Before and After School Care Program. A variety of healthy food choices will be available and we welcome suggestions from children and parents.
