Babinda P-12 State School caters for students from prep to year 12. Students who wish to enrol in our school first undertake an enrolment interview process.
The enrolment process involves
Step 1
Completion of the following forms which are part of the enrolment pack (available at the office):
Step 2
Arrange an interview time by phoning the office 40678333.
Step 3
An enrolment interview with the Deputy Principal/Head of Department, student and parent. Subject selection discussions and process occurs once enrolment has been accepted for years 9-12.
Step 4
Once the enrolment is completed:
- primary students will be shown their classroom and introduced to your child’s new teacher on the agreed commencement date
- secondary students will be given their timetable on the agreed commencement date
For children entering prep or those enrolling in an Education Queensland school for the first time, providing a birth certificate or other documentary evidence of proof of age is mandatory. Children are eligible to enter prep if they turn five before June 30 of that year. To enrol in year 1 a child must turn six by 30 June of that year.
After approximately a fortnight at school, checking-in with the teacher (primary) or Head of Department (secondary) to see how well your child is adjusting and settling in at Babinda P-12 State School is encouraged.
